Our Team

As President and Director, Mr. Willis leads the development of the company’s oil & gas portfolio, and is responsible for the vision and strategic deployment of  capital throughout the organization. Mr. Willis manages acquisitions as well as banking and institutional partnerships.  He is actively involved with the entire technical team to ensure that we are maximizing the value of our oil and gas assets both the production and financial reserve level. With a focus on conservative operations and a proven investment strategy, Mr. Willis has helped Texas Energy consistently surpass internal benchmarks for assets under management.

Mr. Willis has been featured in numerous publications including Oil & Gas Magazine and Dallas CEO Magazine.  He is a frequent lecturer at financial industry events and is a member of many industry organizations.  He is actively involved in local and national philanthropic and nonprofit organizations including Dallas-based Alley’s House.

Mr. Ladymon is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of our oil and gas fields. He also manages the deployment of our service rigs and works closely with our team of Engineers and Production Managers. Mr. Ladymon is responsible for our risk management at the corporate and operational levels. He leads and manages business relationships with key stakeholders including operators, governmental and regulatory agencies, oil and gas purchasers, insurance and utilities.

Ms. Van Loon is involved in many aspects of the company’s day-to-day operations at both the corporate and field level. She manages private and institutional partnerships, all banking relationships and oversees business development opportunities. Ms. Van Loon is responsible for developing all corporate marketing portfolios and is actively involved in all technologies deployed throughout the company.  Ms. Van Loon works closely with the CEO to ensure execution the company’s strategic goals. She is actively involved with the Business Analytics team and oversees the development of all corporate initiatives.  

Ms. Van Loon is a graduate of Abilene Christian University with a Bachelor of Business Administration.

Mr. Athens role is to maximize return on financial assets by establishing, implementing and monitoring financial policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems. His duties include developing operational frameworks that support the company’s budgeting, forecasting and internal reporting as well as improving efficiencies as technology advances in an industry with a high volume of data.

Mr. Athens is a graduate of Texas Tech with a BBA in accounting and received his Masters of Science in Taxation from the University of North Texas.

Mr. Garrett is Texas Energy Holdings’ in-house certified public accountant and the treasurer of the company.  Mr. Garrett has more than thirty years of experience in oil and gas accounting.  Mr. Garrett is instrumental in supporting Texas Energy’s decision-making processes by providing day-to-day consultation regarding tax strategies. Additionally, Mr. Garrett coordinates tax return preparation efforts between the company’s accounting team and outside CPA services.  In addition to his work in oil and gas, Mr. Garrett has extensive experience with auditing and preparation of individual, partnership and corporate returns.

Mr. Garrett is a graduate of Baylor University with a BBA in accounting. He received his CPA certification from the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy in 1981.

As Vice President of Exploration & Geology, Mr. Jackson is responsible for the selection, evaluation and field operational management of the company’s oil and gas drilling prospects.  Mr. Jackson brings more than forty years of experience in upstream oil and gas production, from initial well drilling and completion to ongoing maintenance and secondary recovery. Mr. Jackson is responsible for the company’s efforts to maximize production capabilities on existing properties through additional drilling and workover projects.  With significant hands-on knowledge of North Texas oil and gas fields, Mr. Jackson is an invaluable resource for Texas Energy’s extensive acreage throughout Archer, Clay and Wichita County oil fields.

Mr. Jackson graduated in 1984 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Geology from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. He is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists.
